Workshops 2018

‘Composition, Color and Creative Cacophony’
January 12-14, 2018
Scottsdale, Arizona at Scottsdale Artists School

This will be a 3 day joint workshop with my good friend Charlie Hunter. We had so much fun and repeated requests that we decided to join forces again. This studio class will be an intensive, fast-moving and fun workshop focusing on the common elements and painting techniques utilized by both of us to create dynamic, successful paintings. While I work in full color and Charlie in monochrome we both emphasize a common devotion to the fundamental principles of painting/drawing, values, edges and composition.

Daily demos and short lectures will reinforce these core precepts, followed by lots of hands-on painting time. A workshop highlight is the critique session at the end of each day where we discuss the successes and challenges of various approaches. Individual attention is a high priority, as well as laughs, irreverence and lots of enthusiasm!
